I don't understand the DRI explanation. It seems to mean you put the scores on a bell shaped curve. Is that it?
Is it only put on the point history record if it is above 100? If the dog is under that do you list anywhere if it is a 30 or 50, etc.?

We are going to Davenport for an in person trial this weekend.
I wonder if for the Double run Regular class I could use the toy for a training run the first time, then do the second run as a usual Q/NQ run. (We need weave practice.)
What does "basic" title" mean as described for "versatility award"? I assume novice (rather than intro) levels are "basic".
Can a dog do a 360 around a barrel starting on the wrong side instead of a pass by, as long as they eventually cross the passby side?
Can the handler run with the dog on the passby side?
We're in Open
There is a trial over 150 miles from my home that I am going to this weekend. Since it is over 150 miles away, and there is not one closer, can I still send in a video VT this week?
Thanks
I hope everyone had a great time at Champs, I enjoyed watching it on Utube!
I went to two trials in the past four weeks and neither have sent the results in yet. I am wondering how long it usually takes. I don't want to bother the event secretaries if that is common practice. I just wonder if mine could have been lost. Thanks!
I may have been confused on something. On the intro chances course the distance from 6 to 7 is clearly less than 21" .
Also when the dog curves from one obstacle to the next, such as 3 to 4, the distance has to depend on how tight the dog makes the turn so it might be more or less than 21". I am confused.
Had a great time at Hortonville, Wi trial this past weekend. Hosts Jeff and Cheri were wonderful and even gave everyone a special crate tag for a Mom's Day gift. This was Lonzy's first outdoor and first NADAC trial. He tolerated the other dogs with NO problem and was really excited to be on course, this was a major accomplishment. I am delighted.
1) On the other forum someone referred to using x-pens for training, I need to do a lot of training to start from UKI to NADAC. How do you use the x-pen?
2) Is there a good way to measure the distances between objects for VT? Should I use a long rope or do people just step it off? Also, on the maps some of the distances are specifically given but others are not, does that signify anything?
3) On the submitting. If I run, for example, jumpers and knock a bar is there any reason to send that run in since it doesn't qualify. Then can I run the same course one more time and if it seems good send that in. Can I then put two more runs of a different jumpers course on that submission or any other submission in that month period the courses are useable? It seems from reading that it is not allowed. Alternatively a few days later can I use the second jumpers course and submit it separately.
4)If I do a hoopers or any other type course instead of jumpers can I submit that separately but in the same two week period?
5) I see there is a time calculator, can I skip using it, while I do basic training? A BIG THANK YOU! Pam Wolfe
For the VT maps, I what I read about it seemed to mean that one can run and film the course twice in one direction, and then do the same course twice in the opposite direction and then label the videos 1,2,3,4 and send them all in together. Is that correct? Thanks!
